Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 93

Happy Sunday, today concludes our week dedicated to Depeche Mode.

Happy Sunday, today concludes our week dedicated to Depeche Mode.

Between 2006 and 2008, Depeche Mode solidified their career with a series of significant releases and live activities. On November 13, 2006, they released their first Best of album titled "The Best of Depeche Mode, Volume 1", available in two editions: audio CD and audio CD/DVD video. This album also includes the previously unreleased track "Martyr". In the years 2006-2007, the band's first 10 studio albums were remastered, with special collector's editions including DVDs with remixes, live performances, and documentaries. In 2007, Andy Fletcher and Martin Gore embarked on DJ tours, while Dave Gahan released his solo album "Hourglass". The subsequent period was marked by the release of the album "Sounds of the Universe" in 2009, preceded by the single "Wrong". The album achieved great success, reaching the top of the charts in numerous countries. The band announced the "Tour of the Universe" during a press conference in Berlin in 2008. During this period, Gahan was struck by a serious illness, but he managed to recover enough to continue the tour. In 2011, the band released "Remixes 2: 81-11", a collection of remixes of their songs, which included contributions from former members like Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder. In 2012, they began working on their thirteenth studio album, titled "Delta Machine", released the following year. Following the success of "Delta Machine", Depeche Mode announced the release of their fourteenth studio album titled "Spirit", scheduled for 2017. The first single from the album is "Where's the Revolution", released in 2017 concurrently with the album announcement. The "Global Spirit Tour" accompanied the release of "Spirit", with the band performing worldwide. In 2022, the band was hit by the tragic loss of Andy Fletcher. Despite the loss, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore continued to work on new material, announcing the release of their fifteenth studio album titled "Memento Mori" in 2023. The album was enthusiastically received by fans, and the band embarked on the "Memento Mori World Tour 2023", taking their music around the world.

Today's listening is "Where's The Revolution", from "Spirit".
