42STEMS is a collective in Music and Sound Production, specialized in composing music for various media, including cinema, television, TV series, and video games, as well as events, theatrical performances, and dance shows. The collective has contributed to major productions worldwide, creating soundtracks for nationally and internationally acclaimed films and advertisements on popular streaming platforms and television channels. Founded by Emanuele Frusi, a composer and entrepreneur, 42STEMS distinguishes itself through remote collaboration among artists and production entities located in Italy, the UK, America, and Asia. In Italy, the collective is formally based in the Umbria-Tuscany region, although, in practice, it operates throughout the country. The majority of the work is done remotely or through the mobilization of artists connected to the collective, creating a network and collaborative synergy that spans various regions.
Beyond music production, other sections have emerged within 42Stems that focus on performing arts, featuring internal productions and co-productions, along with collaborations with other theatrical and live performance entities, communication for music, and education. In particular, starting from October 2022, 42Stems and Perform School of Music have initiated a collaboration that allows students from the school to engage with this specific sector of the music business.
Various and diverse professionals work with 'stems' within the musical domain. To stay within the strictly musical realm, we find composers, arrangers, orchestrators, sound designers, mix engineers, synth crafters, and musicians from extremely diverse backgrounds. The purpose of the collaboration between the two entities is, therefore, to facilitate a concrete entry into the world of work at the end of one's educational journey.
