Third and final appointment of the week dedicated to Muse.
At the end of 2013, Bellamy revealed that Muse's seventh studio album, scheduled for 2015, would be a return to a more "raw" and rock sound, primarily using guitar, bass, and drums. In December of the same year, it was announced that the album, titled Drones, would be released in 2015 (preceded by the singles Dead Inside and Mercy). In January 2017, Muse began working on their eighth album, sharing images and videos of the recording process on Instagram: the single Dig Down was released on May 18, 2017. The ninth album, Will of the People, was released on August 26, 2022, about four years after the previous Simulation Theory. The album, promoted by the singles Will of the People, Kill or Be Killed, You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween, and Ghosts (How Can I Move On), received mixed reviews from critics, highlighting both its musical variety and its lack of originality. In support of the album, Muse embarked on a tour in North America and Europe in October 2022 and a stadium tour in 2023, opened by Evanescence in North America and Royal Blood in Europe.
Today's listen is the title track of the latest album, Will of the People.
