Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 69

Third and final appointment of the week dedicated to Supertramp, where we tell you about the final part of the career of the legendary British band.

Third and final appointment of the week dedicated to Supertramp, where we tell you about the final part of the career of the legendary British band.

From the 1980s onwards, Supertramp undergoes a period of changes and transition. With Roger Hodgson's departure in 1983, the band continues to release albums but fails to replicate the success of their previous works. Rick Davies, along with other original members like John Helliwell and Bob Siebenberg, releases some albums under the Supertramp name ("Free as a Bird" and "Brother Where You Bound"), but the band no longer reaches the levels of popularity of the 1970s. Meanwhile, Roger Hodgson embarks on a solo career with moderate success. Despite the commercial decline, Supertramp's musical influence continues to be recognized, influencing artists from different generations and musical genres. The last album is "Slow Motion" in 2002, and even in 2010, the band celebrates its fortieth anniversary with a European tour, but the reunion with Roger Hodgson does not materialize.

The last listening of the week is "It's A Hard World," taken from "Some Things Never Change."
