The third and final appointment of the week dedicated to the Foo Fighters.
Â
Despite the announced hiatus, the Foo Fighters prove to be more active than ever. In January 2013, Dave Grohl reveals that the band is working on new material for their eighth studio album. Fan excitement grows when, in January 2014, the group officially announces the start of recordings for the eighth album, titled "Sonic Highways". This album, again produced by Butch Vig, is preceded by a homonymous television series broadcast on HBO. The series documents the Foo Fighters' journey through eight different cities, each of which influenced the sound and content of the album's tracks. "Sonic Highways" is finally released on August 11, 2014, and is enthusiastically received by fans and critics alike, thanks to singles like "Something from Nothing" and "The Feast and the Famine". In November 2015, as a gesture of gratitude to the fans, the Foo Fighters release the fourth EP of their career, titled "Saint Cecilia". This EP, released for free, is dedicated to the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015, and represents a tribute to solidarity and the power of music in overcoming adversity. 2017 marks another successful chapter for the Foo Fighters with the release of their ninth studio album, "Concrete and Gold". Produced by Greg Kurstin, the album debuts at number one on the Billboard 200 and is positively received by fans and critics. In November 2020, the Foo Fighters announce their tenth studio album, "Medicine at Midnight", followed by a world tour. However, in March 2022, the band suffers a tragic loss with the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Despite the tragedy, the Foo Fighters once again demonstrate their resilience and determination to continue making music. In 2023, the band returns with the single "Rescued", simultaneously announcing their eleventh album "But Here We Are". With Josh Freese on drums, the Foo Fighters continue to transmit energy and passion through their music, confirming themselves as one of the most iconic and influential bands in the global music scene.
