Welcome back to a new appointment with Musical Disclosure. Let's resume the week dedicated to Subsonica.
In 2004, the band began production on their new album, "Terrestre." During that year, Subsonica signed a contract with EMI Italy and founded the label Casasonica to handle the productions of various artists. Amidst a stormy change of record labels, with contractual disputes and mutual accusations with Mescal, the band simultaneously released two albums: "SUBurbani 1997-2004," released by Mescal, and "Terrestre," released by EMI. The latter was preceded by the single "Abitudine" and followed by "Corpo a corpo" and "Incantevole." In 2005, Subsonica participated in the Eurosonic Festival in the Netherlands and Adriano Celentano's program "Rockpolitik." The live activity continued in 2005 and 2006 with two tours: the "Terrestre Tour" in arenas and the "Be Human Club Tour" in clubs, accumulating over 230,000 attendees in 50 dates. The year 2007 marked the release of "La glaciazione," the first single from the album "L'eclissi," published in November of the same year.
Today, we present a beautiful reinterpretation of a song by Franco Battiato, brought to you by Subsonica: "Up Patriots To Arms!"
