Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 18

Welcome back! Let's conclude our week dedicated to John Mayer.

Today, we conclude our week dedicated to John Mayer with "Battle Studies," the second album from the John Mayer Trio, whose title takes inspiration from the French military officer Ardant du Picq's work of the same name. The album has a sound that contrasts with what the title suggests and explores the various battles and inner conflicts that characterize the human spirit.

Unlike "Continuum," there are more collaborations with other artists, including Taylor Swift. Although it may not equal the success of the previous album, "Battle Studies" is still meticulously crafted in terms of composition, with a strong emphasis on the sounds used. Noteworthy are the tributes to Bruce Springsteen and especially Robert Johnson in the covers "I'm on Fire" and "Crossroads."

"Friends, Lovers Or Nothing" is the track that closes the album, and we present it to you today. Enjoy listening!
