Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 74

Welcome back to the second appointment of the week dedicated to Nightwish.

Welcome back to the second appointment of the week dedicated to Nightwish.

We left off with the release of "Century Child," an album where the symphonic vein of the Finnish band begins to emerge strongly. This path is masterfully deepened in the subsequent album, "Once" (2004), a masterpiece resulting from an imposing production that once again sees the participation of an orchestra and choir in the recordings, giving the album an epic sound. Led by the single "Nemo," the album reached peaks of success in Europe, demonstrating the vast scope of their influence. Strengthened by this success, the band embarked on an impressive tour during which the DVD "End of an Era" was recorded. However, 2005 is the year when the band faces the departure of Tarja Turunen. The void left by Tarja is filled in 2007 with the arrival of Anette Olzon, former vocalist of Alyson Avenue. With Anette at the helm, Nightwish released the album "Dark Passion Play," characterized by imposing production and collaboration with exceptional musicians such as Noillag Casey and Troy Donockley. With Anette, the band would record "Imaginaerum" before parting ways with the singer and welcoming Floor Jansen into the band.

Today, we present you the opening song of "Once," "Dark Chest Of Wonders."
